Charles Desservy first studied percussion and conducting at the conservatory of Besançon. Holder of a master’s degree from the University of Paris Dauphine (2002), he gained experience in Besançon, Paris and New York before joining the Royaumont Foundation (Paris) in 2004. In 2006, he joined the French Ministry of Culture (Regional Direction for Cultural Affairs of Champagne-Ardenne), as counselor for music, dance and cinema. In 2009, he joined the Regional Direction of Burgundy, as counselor for music and dance, before joining the new Regional Direction of Grand Est (Strasbourg) in 2016 as deputy regional director, in charge of performing and visual arts.
