About
Although there are various initiatives in the Upper Rhine region to promote entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries, there is a need for a vessel that goes beyond the borders of one's own institutions and countries, linking education and the market. The long-term goal is therefore to network existing initiatives and to activate the cross-border mediation of start-up skills, especially in the areas of design, art, music and media.
The Roundtable therefore addresses cross-border education in the fields of cultural entrepreneurship on the Upper Rhine and strengthens the exchange between cultural and creative workers, universities, urban societies, associations and education policy. Through input, discussions and group work, we would like to pursue the question of suitable intercultural education formats for entry into the cultural and creative industries, taking into account the specific situation in the French-German-speaking Upper Rhine region. The discussion focuses on the needs of cultural and creative workers as well as the framework conditions that are necessary for a cross-border educational program. Concrete ideas for an action plan are developed, presented and put up for discussion.
The Roundtable (including inputs, workshops and discussions) will be held in English.
