Mischa Schmelter works for the Cultural Directorate at the French Greater Est Regional Council (Région Grand Est). His unit is in charge of structuring Regional Council's services in order to further develop a connection with actors and enterprises in the field of culture and creativity, memory and cultural heritage, which are engaged in crossborder and European activities or looking to do so. As the Greater Est Region shares borders with Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium, the Regional Council has set one major focus on developing means to support actors and enterprises of all sectors in their daily crossborder activities.
